Responsibilities of Puppy Adopter

We highly recommend Puppy Adopters…

Expose the puppy to a hunting environment in preparation for NAVHDA’s Natural Ability Test, and
Test the puppy in NAVHDA’s Natural Ability Test prior to the puppy reaching 18 months of age.

Rehoming Rights
We strive to place each puppy in a loving environment conducive to the puppy’s needs. If, for any reason, a Puppy Adopter can no longer care for the puppy, Kahaka Kennels shall be given the first opportunity to resume ownership.
Kahaka Kennels is not required to accept the puppy, but must be made aware of any change in situation that affects the Puppy Adopter’s ability to care for the puppy and be allowed the opportunity to apply rehoming rights.
If Kahaka Kennels chooses to resume ownership, the puppy will be returned with all of its registration paperwork and health records, at no cost to Kahaka Kennels.
